“The Bird” House, Bankya

This is an interpretation in spirit of the principles of the traditional Bulgarian house. A minimum number of apertures to the north and light that bathes the „porch“ from sunrise to sundown. Here this porch is a conservatory, the windows are united in a bow window, and the building’s silhouette recalls a forward thrust as if the house wanted to defy gravity and set wing/ fly away.
